Scheduling at SRU...

This new system is suppose to be fast, easy and make everyone's scheduling experience a lot easier...well for me it didn't. I scheduled on Monday so I was one of the first group of people to schedule first, and it wasn't that easy. I understand how other people feel who go later into the week because I had to deal with that my freshman year. But, I was restricted from so many of the classes that was in the major that I needed! So, I had to run around the campus like a crazy person getting different signatures and what not. Then I get emails from different professors saying that the class times have changed and that I need to change my schedule again. I changed my schedule 3 other times after Monday. Let's just say, I really miss Rock Talk.

  1. I was not one of the fortunate who got to schedule earlier. I scheduled today at 8am with just about every other person I know. I had a schedule ready to go and type in, but 8 o'clock hit and the system went down. Everything froze up and kept saying error. I was finally able to register for 4 classes but still was getting errors on the other ones. I ran to the PE office and was able to get all 18 credits I needed, but not necessarily the classes I wanted ): Better than nothing though! And I am done and don't have to worry about that again!

  2. I know exactly what you are talking about, I scheduled this morning and it was the most stressful experience ever. When I typed in all seven of my classes that I wanted to take this next semester, it said every class was taken except for one class. After a long search for any open class I ended up with twelve credits. Since I took a wrong class this last semester, and I have a minor, I need to take eighteen credits every semester from here on out. My future was possibly changed by this malfunction that happened this morning while scheduling. It said all of the classes were open, but in reality, almost every class was taken. I feel that there are problems with this new way of scheduling and they need to be fixed before next year of scheduling.
